Korg Kronos Klassic Keyboard 88, Line 6 Helix
Thousands of $'s worth of vintage gear currently valued in the dozens of dollars.
I started on my DP8 install yesterday... working from scratch on my new MacFaux 2010. Wait a minute! I think MacFaux may be a GREAT monikker for the Hackintosh set, but FYI, mine's a real 2009 that just thinks its a 2010. Anyway, DP went in great, but all the plugs and VI's are gonna' take a while. Good think ye old G5 is still pumping out the audio!
Got mine today. Having a problem importing a movie. Anyone else? I get audio, no picture, and when I start poking around DP8 hangs. Movie imports just fine in DP7, so I must be missing something here...

CC
Correct - it doesn't include a sync to tempo with note values.
Wow, I was so excited to get DP8, installed it today. Well now I'm not so excited In 64 bit mode most of my plug-ins and VI's don't show up. I know a lot of of them are not 64 bit, but it would of been nice if MOTU could of figured out a way to run both 32 & 64 bit at the same time.
Now when I opened DP in 64 bit mode, things so far are working pretty well and you can load tons of VI's and samples! But in 32 bit mode it crashed 3 times before it even opend up for the first time. Also DP 8 is a bit touchy (32 bit) when doing small tasks as it crashed several times
Hope things get better!
Mac Pro dual quad core 2.8, 10 gig. ram, Snow Leopard 10.6.8, DP8, MOTU 2408, and lots more!

Mine's a 1,1 that think it's a 2,1
Too bad it can't run Mountain Lion without turning it into a Hackintosh though, and that ram is crazy expensive for these old machines :/

- where is audiounitcache located? i can't find it in either preference folder.
- does anyone know when UAD will work in 64-bit mode? i checked their site and downloaded the latest drivers. the site says they are now 64-bit compliant but they don't show up.
- how are people finding DP in mt. lion? i'm still on snow leopard. i have a 2x2.8 quad core xeon with 12g ram.
thanks all! i'm about to start mixing a project. will report back on how it's going.
Installed DP8 last week. Issues: UAD plugs work only in 32 bit.
Saved user settings in MOTU audio plugs erased. I referred to older mixes to re-save my settings.
would not export audio files as mp3. Download LAME pac and add another file from this forum to correct.
