Command V not pasting in File Menus

Post by westlake79 »

I'm having a strange problem in DP 11.22 with the Paste Command.

When I go to name a file, either "Save As..." or "Save a Copy As...", the paste command-v does not work. I have to manually right click in the file name box and select paste from a drop down menu.

It's been a long running thorn in my side, wondering if anyone else has run into this problem before.

I can confirm that in 11.34, the paste command doesn't work in the file namer.

There was a thing where the forward-delete button didn't work when naming a file in the save dialog-- only the backspace delete worked. But this was fixed at some point. Still, makes me wonder if it is related.

+1.

I increment my Project File Names by appending a letter on the end, so my procedure is Save As, arrow key right once moves cursor to to end of existing file name, backspace once, type letter.

I can confirm that behavior in DP 8, 9 and 10, too. I used to complain about that but no one was interested.

In some apps, Cmd-V doesn't work, but right-clicking and selecting Paste does.

It does for me in DP 11.34.
