I still consider myself very much a newbie. I've fumbled around enough that I can get work done in DP, but let's say there's lots of room for improvement in the efficiency department.
There seem to be a fair amount of videos on more advanced topics (Googling, and the MOTU Webinars).. But I still struggle with really basic stuff — like how to manipulate the UI. For example, how do I add/remove tabs from the side panels? (Repurposing the two default tabs is trivial.)
Surely there must be a video about how to manage the UI! I've Googled and checked out the MOTU Webinars without success.
Thanks!

Dare I say it? These things are covered in the manual.
2018 Mini i7 32G macOS 12.7.6, DP 11.33, Mixbus 10, Logic 10.7.9, Scarlett 18i8, MB Air M2, macOS 14.7.6, DP 11.33, Logic 11

IMHO text manuals are terrible for this sort of thing. "Click the pink thingee sort of in the upper left hand corner and drag it over the circular doohicke to the right." Video is SO MUCH BETTER for this kind of topic.
A text manual is fine for looking up what a button does and the like.

It's definitely an opinion for sure. Manuals are great for when you're stuck though, and as your example accidentally points out, it's that type of thing they excel at. Plus Google is great for this, a simple search for Digital Performer Consolidated Window brings up Glenn Workmans one page snip of the help window and a few paragraphs that answer your questions. https://www.freqsound.com/SIRA/Digital% ... indow.htmlwwzeitler wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 10:12 am IMHO text manuals are terrible for this sort of thing. I understand that it's difficult to navigate the random assortment of online videos for DP, but a good start would be MOTU's youtube channel, though the first one that pops up in a universal search is helpful for your question, from our dear departed Bo.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.
