Just to show you how tenacious these guys are... I've had to start manually screening approvals to join this forum. If I see a screen name that sets off warning bells, I will send an email to try and ascertain if they are "real" or a spammer. Usually, the spammers all have gmail.com addresses.
So I send my "screening" email to one of them and I get this reply back. Note he says "Legal Pro" instead of "Logic Pro." I approved, but also replied and told him if he spammed the board it would be taken down quickly and he'd be deleted.
So a few hours later I check the board with Tapatalk and see this:
These people just blow my mind!

Re: Fun with Spammers
Do you click applicants' IP addresses to check the spam-list databases James?
We've had to resort to that over at Rig Talk.
If 3 or more lists are red-flagged it's generally a no-no, although we try to take other things into account as well, such as whether or not a non-VPN applicant's geographic area matches his / her stated location in his / her profile.
I say, "3 or more lists" 'cause perfectly-fine addresses can end up on said lists. I checked my own just for beer and skittles and whaddayaknow, I showed up on one.

What a pain. Thank you, James for dealing with this stuff and keeping MOTUnation such a great place for DP users.

Wow, I had a flash of Robert Di Niro as Louis Cypher..
Yes, thanks for sparing us all this James, I'm sure you have to do a lot more of it than you tell us about.
