Motu 8pre-es not working on Windows 11/Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 12 (Intel)

Post by sanzazacuro »

Hey,

Ive been trying to get my Intel based Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 12 to work with my 8pre-es soundcard for 3 months now, but its just not working. A friend of mine has the same laptop just Gen 11, exact same windows 11 build and his laptop works out of the box with the latest motu drivers on the same soundcard. Anyone experienced something wierd with motu cards with the latest generation of intel processsors (gen 12)?

The 8pre-es (motu pro audio driver) pops up in the sound output menu, but when I select it it just de-selects itself instantly. The Motu Pro Audio Driver says everything is good in the device manager as well.

Any help or pointers is appreciated!
