Measures time format is almost impossible to read

Post by wwzeitler »

I find, for example, measure 1|1|111 (1:1:111) virtually impossible to read. Is there anything that can be done about that?

When I look at online videos, the measures ruler just has the bar number, not "Bar|Beat|Ticks'. Just bar number would be fine!

See attached image.

I'm talking about the Time Ruler in particular. Up in the control panel is no problem

UPDATE: Ah, it only looks like this if you zoom in too far. Still, when I want to zoom in, is there a way to make this more readable?

Over the years, there have been many complaints about the readability of some of DP's graphical elements.

Part of the issue is that the resolution of displays has gotten much finer-- which can shrink the things we need to read. This is why some of the workarounds might involve changing the resolution of the display in the system settings-- but that's not a very good solution.

Presumably MOTU tried to address the increasing resolution of monitors with the option to scale the UI. I find that deals with most problems. If you scale up significantly, the text and other small icons get big enough to see. The graphical elements grow too, but these are easily reduced in size with the various zoom, track height, etc settings. You lose a bit of screen space with a couple of elements that can’t be adjusted, but most things are addressed.

Also, remember there are many Themes to choose from. I've been using MOTools for years. Very clear.
