How to record mac OS Audio?
I'm trying to find a way to record sound that's from the Mac in DP. Is there a way to route it to DP for recording or do I have to use something like Audio Hijack and then import it?

As far as I can tell, you need something like Audio Hijack Pro, WireTap Pro, SoundFlower, etc.. I wish DP could do this instead of having to use third-party software. In addition, I'd like to be able to record/monitor with a 2408 (or whatever), instead of the Mac's Built-In Audio. I know this can be done with other apps, but...

This would be a nice feature. It sucks that people are using Skype to do long distance interviews and having to record with audio hijack pro and they can't record with something much better like DP.

Re: How to record mac OS Audio?
This raises an interesting question. If you can use Audio Hijack Pro to record from any Mac application with audio, you can use it to record mixes off of the CueMix Bus. Obviously this is a cool way to capture audio out of DP instead of having to bounce to disk if you need a sample of your work in a hurry (record from Cue Mix, edit ends in Peak LE, etc).
What I am wondering is how these mixes will sound compared to bouncing to disk? What is the difference between me using a DAT machine or Audio Hijack? I can record anything coming out of DP at up to 24bit 48khz in Audio Hijack Pro. Can I record a 24 bit 48kHz mix from DP as a 16 bit 44.1kHz AIFF file in Audio Hijack? Is this better than bouncing to disk?
Hmmmm.... ???
Could be a worthwhile $32 investment.
