Don't shoot me,
I've had DP3.0 sitting around for over a year and I'm just getting in to it. I have a Mac G3 B&W running 9.2.2. Could anyone provide a list of extensions and any other suggestions that will help me optimize my computer. I need this thing to run like a dream.

Start with a clean system and turn off all the speech and voice stuff.
Get enough RAM if you don't have it.

Re: Which extensions should I turned off!!!!
turn off the following:
Printer Sharing
Web Sharing
Multiple User Startup
All unused printer drivers (does anyone still have an imagewriter??)
Speech & Voice Recognition (as already mentioned)
Any unneeded networking (remote only comes to mind)
Launcher
It's been so long since I've used OS 9 I can't remember what else is in there. I used to go into the System Suitcase (in the system folder) and remove all unneeded keyboard layouts to keep them from loading and taking any RAM).

Re: Which extensions should I turned off!!!!
Hello:
There was also an issue with the Iomega extension causing DP to display an "unauthorized copy" warning. If you are using Toast to burn CD's you might have to turn off the Apple cd/dvd authoring extensions in order to get Toast to recognize the drive.
I'm still using my G3 at home with a Power Logix 900 mhz cpu. I use OS 8.6 with some OS 9.1 extensions cuz it is faster, especially the video.

Depending on which graphics card you've got, ATI or Nvidia, turn off the extentions for the other one.
