G4 350 mhz - Mac OSX 10.3
I recently updated to DP4.52. Since installing I find that attempts to open existing Dp files from within DP results in ... "Application has unexpectedly quit" .... Trying to create a new file results in same. DP will open if I double click an exisitng DP file but won't save without crashing and crashes on quit. I did edit an open file and save the changes (I think) but it crashed when I closed the file. All other features seem to work OK i.e. PCI card - 2408, MTP AV.
Any advice suggestions etc???

Is it a 2408mk3 or mk2
(The earlier mk2 has caused problems for some, but not for
others)
Did you install the Lame framework for exporting mp3s
(that's supposed to help the Crash on quit problem)
Did you disable the Isight Camera plugin
(that also causes stability issues with DP and 10.3..apparently
no longer a problem in 10.4)
Do you have at least 1gb of ram?
What kind of plugins/VIs do you have installed?
(they might cause potential problems)

Hopefully your expectations are not to high with a G4/350.

Thanks for the suggestions. Hasn't helped. I don't know what other information is useful. The set up ran perfectly on DP 4.1.

Which update? 10.3. or .4 or 5, or 9..etc?
Did you download & install *all* the latest MOTU drivers for your
PCI and USB devices?

Thanks to those who offered help.
The solution was to deinstal the old version of DP that I had on the computer. I then also deinstalled and reinstalled DP 4.52 and my world is back to normal. So far everything works as it should.
