Hello All!
I recently started to check out Wave's StudioRack plugin, which can do many things, but for me I'm using it as a virtual parallel "rack" for plugins.
The VERY cool thing about it is that it will load 3rd-party plugins, not just Waves plugins.
And it's free!
The 3rd-party plugins have to be VST-3 to load, so I went in and enabled the VST-3 versions of the plugins I want to use in it in Audio Preferences (I still use the AU versions for anything else, for those and all of my audio plugins).
The other cool thing about StudioRack is that it has some MIDI controls and MIDI preferences built in, which I guess is a VST-3 thing?
That is all new to me. I've never checked out audio plugins that have built-in MIDI features unless they were VI's.
What I can't figure is how to implement the MIDI control part in DP?
I know about attaching MIDI controllers to plugins, but not how to make it work like a regular MIDI-track where if I'm in record in a MIDI-track, all my MIDI controllers automatically control that one single track.
I prefer it that way as if I use more than one instance of StudioRack, I don't have to keep attaching and detaching MIDI controllers.
And for some reason detaching MIDI controllers makes DP instantly crash for me 100% of the time?
I looked in the Project window to see if StudioRack is somehow listed as a VI choice, but that's not it either.
