Hi
I’ve encountered this problem across multiple methods of rendering or recording stretched audio.(Digital Performer 11.)
Problem:
When I stretch an audio track (via Beat Detection + enabling Stretch in the Sequence Editor) and then try to export the audio through any method (Bounce to Disk, Freeze, Bus Real-time recording, or Merge Soundbites), the rendered audio plays earlier than expected, resulting in a noticeable timing shift.
This happens:
Even when rendering in real-time via bus recording
Even when freezing or merging the soundbites
Regardless of whether the output is stereo interleaved or not
With no plugins on the track.
The stretch plays in sync during playback, but the output files are consistently ahead of the original, especially noticeable over longer material.
My setup:
DP 11.34
Intel i7 / Xeon processor and М1(macbook pro/Mac Pro)
44.1kHz / 16bit, Buffer Size: 512 samples
This makes it very difficult to trust stretched audio for bouncing or rendering, especially in long-form editing.
Anyone have any idea what's going on?
Is there any workaround to render audio stretch accurately without timing shifts?
