)I'm trying to create a macro in Keyboard Maestro to switch DP's audio status first to "MIDI Only" and then immediately to "MOTU Audio System."
This is the procedure I usually do manually whenever I install a new plugin while DP is running (and DP is basically always running
).At first, I tried using actions that select the two menu items directly, but for some reason, that didn’t work reliably. So I had the idea to open the Commands window and assign keystrokes to the two audio engine options instead. That worked like a charm!
The issue is that DP forgets those keystrokes every time I quit the app. No matter which shortcut I assign to "MIDI Only" and "MOTU Audio System," DP doesn't retain them after a restart.
I even tried assigning one of those shortcuts to the “Quantize” command, and that one is remembered—so the problem seems specific to those two commands.
Could it be that "MIDI Only" and "MOTU Audio System" appear in the Commands window but, for some reason, can't actually be linked to shortcuts? Or is this behavior specific to my particular setup?
