A lot to like (except the $280–$500 price, perhaps). The only possible red flag is that they mention USB 3 support but nothing about USB 2. If actually USB 4.2, not an issue on a Mac but if fully Intel TB5 Certified, this will cause compatibility problems.

Only way to find out is for someone to order one and test it with USB 2/1.1 interfaces — it works or it doesn't. I suspect it will on a Mac.

Since, I've tested the $190 OWC TB5 hub and found it does work with my USB 2/1.1 devices, this is something I'll likely pass on.
