Only loopback and loopback mix [motu m2]

Post by tdilby123 »

hi, sorry this is my first audio interface (motu M2) and worked great for a year or so now but suddenly the base inputs are missing when I try to search for my recording devices, only loopback and loopback mix show up (and work). i tried plugging my mic from IN 1 to IN 2, restarting the interface, restarting my PC, updating the software, updating the firmware, nothing seems to work. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a path issue. MOTU Support will know the defaults and will be able to help you troubleshoot it.

With a USB interface, make sure that you are plugged in directly and not through a hub.

I doubt if it's a power issue but I can't say for certain. Make sure that your cable and port support the power requirements of the M2.
