Ultralite MK5 comes with CUEMIX5 which is a poorly designed software.
It does not give me any options for have the device or the software application DISPLAY the current configuration setting.
At least I have not found any options to do that. Does any one know if I am missing something?
I used the old Cuemix software with the 5 MOTU 896 MK3 Hybrides I have. I was able to have the device display which setting was active.
I use the Ultralite for public speaking and therefore my Public speaking configuration contains no reverb but a different compression 4:1 and I use an entirely different configuration setting for my music performance which has reverb turned on and 2:1 compression .
I am able to save both settings but if I retrieve either one, I have no way of knowing which setting is active because the neither the device nor the software is able to display which setting is active.
Any one know if there is any fix for this?
Noah

Sounds like you'll need to speak with MOTU Support on this. CueMix is baked into te hardware while the interface is found in the driver.
Are you up-to-date? There was new firmware and drivers for Mac and Windows released this month.

Re: Ultralite MK5
Hi Noah.
To my knowledge, there is no way to display what preset you use.
I have the same issue as you, and it's a good idea for a feature request, but you can manage it by just loading the preset you need each time you start the Ultralite (without even checking what settings are active).
It's not ideal, but it's the way I do it...
But yes, it would be much better to have a little text displayed somewhere that could tell us : "Live", "Mixing" or "Recording vocals"...
