Dorico user since v.1, though I didn't switch from Sibelius until version 2 or 3 (and still have a Sibelius license).
I can go months without needing to do notation, and I often have to search to remind myself how to do stuff.
I've found that often web searches are more useful than searching the Dorico forum, though both are worth trying.
Dorico beginners might find "Dorico First Steps" helpful. It's available in web and PDF form:
https://steinberg.help/dorico-manuals/d ... rst-steps/
And there are also two videos of "Dorico First Steps Live", part of the "Discover Dorico" series where John Barron works through projects in real time.
Here's part one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl8S3oFwuls
And the shorter, more specific tutorials on the Dorico YouTube channel are helpful too.
I wouldn't call Dorico "intuitive" (though of course that's subjective), but it's worth spending some time up front learning how it works.
Even after some time with it, I'm not always sure whether to look for a setting in, say, Notation Options or Engraving Options. And there other things about it I find frustrating (like their priorities for new features). But I'm still glad I switched.

Re: Dorico Rant
Thanks for the links, Bob. I’m tip toeing through this new world. I have to admit, however, that when I watched the introduction video from the Dorico site, I ran to my bedroom and hid under the covers….

There's a Dorico update out yesterday promising a few "Finale friendly" features. I've not looked at it yet—perhaps next week.
