I went to see if I could find the latest DP webinar on MOTU's FB page, where they are posted for a few days each week, but their Facebook page is no longer is there. The MOTU website no longer has a link to FB. Just IG, Twitter and Youtube.
Anyone know anything about this? Kind of an odd, unsettling move if permanent. Maybe it's being revamped in preparation for DP12?
The only thing I can say is Facebook and some other forums are cesspools of older ex DP users trashing on DP for not meeting their demands. The Ken(as in the meme about Karens) factor is pretty high among professionals, and DP is a professional DAW. They might have gotten tired of playing whack a mole with trolls.
Plus MOTU are pretty bad at getting the word out about their DAW, great program, only Matt LaPoint out there doing any sort of public relations and promo with his webinars, that they only publish for a week.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.

Well, their FB page isn't a forum really. It's just a place for announcements - mostly hardware. I never noticed it being a troll hangout really. It may be labor-intensive to maintain a Facebook page, and MOTU is a small company, but keeping up a FB page feels like the bare minimum a company needs to do to be perceived as viable.
The sky has been falling on DP for as long as I've been DP user, Not having a FB page doesn't exactly help that perception.
...also, where am i going to get the webinar rebroadcasts now? i think glenn re-posted MOTU's link each week on MotuGuru. hopefully there can be a workaround if the motu fb page remains gone
Ad hominems are very bad form and do nothing to further an intelligent discussion except to reveal the prejudices of those hurling them. Very sad to see that but not surprising and, frankly, pretty pathetic.

Sure, I should have just said "some ex DP users can be pretty angry about DP", I accept that. Plus because some random person online freaks out in raging against DP, and they always at least pretend to be a professional means nothing. They could easily be a kid coming from Fruity Loops for all I know? or have a legit complaint they aren't articulating well.. so yeah in bad taste. I will leave it up though so your response makes sense. [edit- grammar]

Someone posted on MotuGuru that Facebook inadvertently killed MOTU's page (as FB tends to do), and that they're working to restore it. I may have reacted prematurely...would'a been sadder if no one noticed
