Humanize not working on soundbites

Post by Irimi Nage »

I’ve had trouble with this before, please let me know if I’m doing something incorrectly?

Let’s say I have a snare track, each note is its own quantized soundbite.
I select the soundbites by shift clicking on each soundbite (It’s the same result if i drag across the soundbites)
I open the Humanize window from the Region Menu
I set the parameters as I like
“Apply” is greyed out.

Yes I realize how straightforward this is lol. Does anything look wrong with this scenario?

I'm seeing the same thing here. No matter what I do, it's greyed out.

Is it possible this is a MIDI-only feature?

Seems like it would be useful to randomize onset & even the bite-gain (with ability to set the range to something safe).

THANK YOU for looking! Ok, it’s not just me. The manual does say it’s supposed to work on audio.

Groove quantize is also not working properly on audio. Apply isn’t greyed out but it also doesn’t appear to be doing anything to the selected audio.

Both features work as expected on MIDI as far as I can tell.
