If i use Mon button Motu m2 should i hear my amp sim?

If i use Mon button on Motu m2, is it normal that i still hear my amp sim?

I thought I replied to this, but I must have forgotten to submit.

The M2 has a monitor function, but the DAW/Host software may also have some input monitoring (either thru FX or not).

When you want to test your setup, you can make sure you hear your dry guitar through the M2, even the DAW or host isn't not running. Then within the host, you'll need to turn down whatever functions are sending the WET/FX guitar out through the M2. The M2 doesn't control that, you have to control that from the DAW/Host.
