Not sure if this was posted already, but I got an email from WaveArts about a convolution reverb that has a basic free version it seems. I imagine it must come with a few starter impulses or maybe you can import others?

Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic
That was the impression I got. They provide a free convolution engine, and a starter pack of IRs. Then you can buy IR packs of various gear.
Altiverb had an amazing library, but I didn't do work that would justify that expense. Still, they had the right idea with all the IRs they provided.
Now it seems that convolution engines specialize in either reverbs or cab sim. (And people use the former for special effects).
I've been happy with WaveArts and their Multiband compressor. I expect their convolution would be good.
OTOH, I got Fog Convolver from AudioThing a while back, and it's a nice deal for $65. The library has an interesting selection of stuff. I already have a pretty nice collection of IRs, so I didn't pay much attention to that library. I should go through it some time.

The transaction is a bit confusing but it all works out in the end. It says it's free, and you get no "credits" but when you go to download, you are asked to purchase for $29. When you enter your email address it becomes free again, and you get a $20 coupon towards future purchases. Sort of like dating.

Thanks. Got the email but kind of ignored it. Then saw this and watched the demo. There goes the egg money! Installed w/o incident. I always wanted an H3000 but they were so damn expensive. $79? I'm in. sounds great.dix wrote:Eventide H3000 plugin, normally $349, is $79 until May 23.

Cool. Yes, hard to pass up. Let us know any impressions you might have. Those familiar with the hardware H30000 say the plugin is not near as powerful, but has the sound and is useful where it counts. I’ll probaly pick it up, but I’m wondering how much overlap it has with the Soundtoys suite.... which was developed by Eventide alum as I recall.

Yes, I'd like to hear impressions also. I'm extremely on-the-fence with this one. I have UltraReverb, Blackhole, SP2016, and 2016 Stereo Room, all which purportedly contained elements included in the H3000. Do I need another Eventide effect???
Gadzooks, I'll probably cave and get it...

Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic
It gets worse. The Band Delays version of the H3000 plugin is also on sale, and with 48 months to pay each of them off at Sweetwater. ($2/mo each if I get both.) This is agonizing.

*Band Delays plugin is a different subset of the algorithms that the hardware H3000 possessed. See https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... b#p6325241 for a list of all the algorithms.

Ugh. Went for both. You folks are such bad influences. I'm sure I will be happy having been so thusly influenced, though.

I’m not sure about the bw delays and how much I’d use them. Any observations there?
