Traveller MKI power drop out

Post by phluide »

Hi Guys, I'm having an issue with my Traveller. After about 20 mins of run time the unit shuts down, this happens wether using an external PSU or if powered by Firewire.
I'd appreciate any advice on how to remedy this.

Something is getting too hot. If defective, it can fail with the same symptoms at normal temperatures.

This is something a tech can normally diagnose easily. Sometimes, you'll spot heat discoloration on opening it up. Other times, you need cold spray which is made for this purpose.

Most of the components can be found in the aftermarket though some can't. MOTU doesn't publish parts lists.

thank you for your reply mike, I guess I'll contact the UK distributer and see if they can recommend a service centre.
