Lion Plug In compatibility List

Post by toodamnhip »

Like many wondering about upgrading to Lion, I started looking for the latest info on Lion Compatibility. Here are the first set of links to data I have found online.
(It's Xmas morning and I had an hr to blow before friends and family, thus, this list is not complete, feel free to chime in and add to this, Happy Holidays)

http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/ts/ ... yword=Lion" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(It is interesting to note that DP is not listed AS being compatible with Waves 8, (that doesnt mean it is not, just not listed.) Also, DPs VIs arent listed as verified yet)

That's cool, have you tested full automation such as snap shot, region snapshot and the recording of parameter realtime changes with a plug?

I would also like to hear opinions on WHY we should update to Lion? I know it is a good thing to not get too far behind, that is all I really know.
The bells and whistles of Lion don't much interest me unless they pertain to DP or enhanced DAW performance. But i do want to stay current.

If you have a separate computer for DAW use there's no point updating in my opinion.

But to me the iCloud sync between my Mac Pro, MacBook Pro and iPhone is reason enough to be on Lion. There's also numerous other little tweaks that makes me not wanna go back.

What I miss the most is the fast starts in Snow Lion, takes much longer now it feels. Guess it has something to do with remembering the states of windows and apps.

Also, both my Macs have problems with internet connection after being wakened from sleep in Lion. Not big issue just an annoyance.

To stay on topic: All the plug-ins I have work fine in Lion. But that's mainly UAD, EZDrummer and PLAY along with the stock DP ones.

MacFixit has listed a few fixes for this since Lion was released.

This is the most recent article on wifi connections.

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57 ... =txt;title" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Two on Wifi before that:

I subscribe to the RSS feed, so I'm not sure how to search the site, but if you go to this link all of the MacFixit articles (several thousand) appear in chronological order.
