DP and Mackie C4

Does any body here use the Makie control C4?

Are you referring to the original or the new Pro Series? EIther way, I'm not aware of conflicts or compatability issues with DP.

It's been said for some time s now that it was NOT well supported. Unless something changed recently.

Hi Brad,

Well was there an older C4? Any way I'm talking about the new C4.

I already have the older Mackie Control and an extender and I'm thinking of adding the C4.

Let's take RealStrat for an example, will the C4 automatically see all the possible MIDI CCs that RS has been programed with? Or just the front face of RS will be tweak-able?

Same with Kontakt 2, if I have a patch loaded, and the developer but a knob there in the UI to be controlled by a MIDI CC, how does the C4 go about this?

In the above cases only, how is the C4 different than the ReMOTE ZeRO SL from Novation?

I can't speak for the c4 at all, but I can say that my mackie control has not been as well supported in DP as other DAWs, so I am suspicious that the c4 would work great... but that is just a baseless opinion so take it for what its worth!

soooo are we talking not well-supported, or problematic? I've not heard of any major issues with DP, so I'm curious to know the feedback of others.

I have no problem at all with the Mackie Control (+ 1 extender) and DP, but I only use it for faders, mute, solo, counter and sometimes for pan, sends, transport stuff. I almost never use it for tweaking plug-ins. Too many buttons to press till you find what you want.

I was not talking about the MC which work well in DP. I'm talking about the C4.
