so i just inherited my dads old Teac 40-4 1/4 4 track tape deck. We will now test some of our favorite tape sound emulators against the "Reel-deel" (i should be shot for this pun)

Mac Pro, 828 MK1x2, Beer....what else?

Vintage warmer would be interesting

Make sure the heads are clean
Creativity, some digital stuff and analogue things that go boom. crackle, bits of wood with strings on them that go twang

what settings would you try on vintage warmer?
Mac Pro, 828 MK1x2, Beer....what else?

Wow! I used to have one of those. I thought it was pretty cool then in 81'-82' 8)

There are some presets tape slow med and fast and mix lite driven tape, semi driven tape and heavy driven tape.

Let us know what you find as i'd be interested to know.

I use these settings quite a lot as a start then tweak em.

Although nothing will replace Oxide :shock:
