In other words, let's say you are in the "Mixer" window, with all faders visible, and you flip back to the "Tracks" window. While there you highlight just one track, to do some edit let's say, and now when you go back to the "Mixer" window, only that track will be showing. So in the "Mixer" window ya now gotta open up the "Tracks List" (which also disappears when I flip) and then highlight all tracks to get them back. This is just an extra little annoyance which doesnt happen when you simply have them as two separate windows and click between them.
The question is, then (finally, I hear you say); how do you disconnect these two when in "consolidated" mode so they behave the way they do when they are two separate windows? MOTU says it doesnt work that way, but that seems dopey, and I'm willing to bet that some genius here has figured it out

What stupidly obvious thing am I overlooking?
