Using multiple Travelers (or other MOTU firewire interfaces)

I am using 1 Traveler with a MicroClock to record up to 8 analog signals at a time. I am considering purchasing another Traveler to record 16 analog signals. I have some questions concerning the setup, though: Planned setup: Firewire out of the computer to Traveler 1 Firewire in. Traveler 1 Firewire...

BLA MicroClock ... Analog inputs

I am considering getting my Traveler modded by Black Lion Audio, and I'm curious what the MicroClock would actually do for me if I am using only the analog XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs to record via Firewire. Will the Microclock even do anything if I am using only 1 interface (Traveler) and ...

Keyboard di options

I currenlty own a Motif ES that I use through Boss DD20 and Line6 DL4 delay pedals. I record the pedals' outputs directly into MOTU Traveler. I was wondering what would be good direct boxes to use with a keyboard (I'm using the stereo outputs). I don't want a preamp; I just want something that I can...

Line 6 DL4 power adaptors

I currently have a BOSS DD20 with power supply (BOSS PSA adaptor). I also have a Line 6 DL4 with Line 6 power adaptor. I'd like to get another Line 6 pedal, and I'd like to know how I can use 1 power adaptor for both of the Line 6 pedals. I have a splitter cable for the power, but it only fits the b...

Converters

I'll have to admit that I know very little about converters. I am currently using a Traveler. I am using only the analog mic and 1/4" inputs to go to the Mac. Then, I'm using Traveler analog outs to go to mixer to studio monitors. In this scenario, could an external converter be used to improve...

Has anyone actually had this modification performed on your MOTU interface? If so, what do you think about the "before and after" differences?

Would it be better to burn at slow speeds like x1 or x2 instead of x20 or x24?

Is there a significant difference between the converters on the Traveler and the 896HD and the converters that are previously listed?

Burning a cd

Does the speed at which a cd is burned effect the sound quality of the audio file? (I'm using iTunes to make cds of SDII files).

Preamp quest

I may be interested in buying some outboard preamps in the future, and I was wondering if anyone is aware of an analog unit that has individual preamps with individual outputs. example... a single rackmount that has 8 mic (and/or 1/4") inputs, phantom power, and individual outputs. It doesn't h...

You can install it on several different computers (I believe the above link covers all that info.). I've been using RMX on a G5, and it's worked great. I recently installed it on a G4 iBook 1.33 ghz. It takes about 10-15 seconds to load, but everything I've done with it so far has been relatively re...

Since I have one of the newer iBooks, there is no way for me to remove the RAM that Apple installed. The maximum RAM for the iBook is 1.5 GB. I did try taking out the RAM that I installed and replacing it, but I am still having the same problem.

I'll try that. However, the lowest amount of RAM the computer has showed is 1GB. (The computer shipped with 512Mb, and I installed 1 Gb). That means that sometimes the computer is picking up either only the RAM I added or half of the RAM I added and what shipped with the laptop).

Yeah. I've had no problem using other REX files. Just curious if I could use the internal reason loops. Thanks.

Stylus RMX with Reason files

I was wondering if it is possible to use the Dr.Rex loops from Reason in Stylus RMX (via the SAGE converter). The SAGE converter works with REX files, but I can't seem to find the files that are in Reason. Thanks for your help.
