Re: Is the DP10 "Stretch" function reliable?

I have submitted a support ticket at MOTU and they admitted that it is a bug. Hopefully they can resolve it soon in the coming update.

I think the workflow with the new features in DP10 should be better and more versatile. But before the bug is fixed, I am back at DP9.52 for now.

Re: Is the DP10 "Stretch" function reliable?

I found DP9.52 more stable for now. Too bad, because I have high hope that this "stretch feature" can be more helpful.

There are other small issues I found, so I going to file a techlink support ticket on the issues. Hope they will resolve it soon.

Is the DP10 "Stretch" function reliable?

I finally recently upgraded my copy from DP9.52 to DP10. One of the most appealing feature to me in DP10 is the "Stretch" function. I would hope that it can speed up my workflow of timing edits on drums/vocals etc. However, my experience so far is that the function is not so reliable. For ...

Re: Metering. Any Suggestions?

One more VU meter:

It's not expensive and I found it feature-wise better than the PSP VU meter.

Re: Project Cherry Picker!!!

Thank you, James!

I still use a Roland and a Korg sound module.

Last month I need to set them up again for DP, I have to edit the XML files myself on my 10.8 machine. It would be great to have Cheery Picker again.

Re: Getting a Mac Mini i7 2.6ghz....some questions

I bought a Mac Mini i7 last year, maxed it to 16GB RAM. Overall, it's faster than my 2008 MacPro 8 core. I was very impressed because although I thought it will not be slower, I didn't it can rival a MacPro of some kind. To sum up, this is a good choice and please remember to upgrade the internal dr...

Re: Gobbler and DP

Thank you for the recommendation. I just joined HighTail (formerly YouSendIt) yesterday before I saw this. I think I should also try Gobbler if that's better for co-working on a project.

Re: Magic Dave, PLEASE explain the DP8 memory usage meter

I use menumeter, too. Which is great! I still open up the "performance monitor" in DP because whenever the "Processing" bar touches red, there is likeliness that some cracking may be present in the audio when I record. And thanks for the tips above. I just turned off the "Sh...

Re: Magic Dave, PLEASE explain the DP8 memory usage meter

I'm now running DP8.01 in 32-bit mode. Checking Activity Monitor shows DP8 is using around 1.5G RAM, but the "Memory" bar sometimes touch the red line. Any idea why is the big difference here? I'm working on a project with more than 10 chunks. I have disabled most of the audio tracks/plugi...

No. I use mainly AU in DP and let JBridgeM take care of the 32bit VST's. I found it pretty stable, better than I expected.

i also notice the QuickScribe window responses sluggishly. It even opens slowly as compared to DP7.
Anybody notice the same?

As a second thought: would it be some of the 64-bit plugins that sound different?

DP8 Sound better?

Just received my copy of DP8 today and I installed it alongside DP7.24. Installation was smooth and I also purchased the JBridge to use some 32-bit plugins. I tested it with a small project I was working on with only a few VIs, namely Omnisphere, Kontakt 5 and Geist. Is it only me? Or my illusion? I...

Re: SSL Duende Native

For the last 2 weeks, when I was seriously considering whether to buy DSP based plugins (UAD, Liquid Mix or Duende), all the "bad" news come. First I checked that Liquid Mix is being discontinued; Then I heard this afternoon that Duende plugins will become SSL native plugins; and then late...
