Two AVB network interfaces on one Mac

Post by curtis.jacobs »

Can a Mac Mini have two different AVB interfaces active at the same time?
NIC 1: Protools using Thunderbolt3->Thunderbolt2->Ethernet adapters for AVB connection directly to an S6L console
NIC 2: QLab sending AVB out the Mac Mini's built in ethernet port to be received by a MOTU device connected to a streaming system

Good question and I have no idea what the answer is. This thread may give you some clues:

I would guess that'd be seen as an aggregate device and one would have to have drift correction turned on - non-ideal.

Can you connect one interface to the Mac and AVB the others to it via an AVB-compatible Ethernet switch>
