Super Annoying Workflow Issue
Hey gang...quick question I could use some help with.
I draw a ton of CC data on a lot of my MIDI tracks and I hate how I seemingly MUST switch between each CC table by clicking through the dropdown menu in the edit window and selecting CC1, then draw. Then click through again to CC2 etc.
What do you guys do to quickly toggle to different CC data sets to draw/edit more quickly?

I use QuicKeys macros. With a shortcut, you can change to any CC almost instantly.

Use a mouse click macro based on the bottom left hand corner of the screen.

I got that leak from Tripi
You can even make the macro get you the "Other" CC category, and have it type the CC number for you.
It really saves SO MUCH time!
You can also program a macro for changing the reshape flavours, so messing with CCs is so fast and easy.

Yeah, I think Startly has entered that period that new startups based on old software invariably go through: the "Oops, I already spent the money I was going to use to hire back the programmer I fired, long enough to upgrade it" era. That usually precedes the period in which the product is in probate and gets bought out of jail by that company that sells all the old obsolete software from the Classic Mac days. "$49.99 gets you all this software that you always wanted but never could afford! A $4500 value!"
Please, Startly, don't go that route. Get the software upgraded before you get braces for your kids' teeth! You might still sell enough for them to go to college!

Re: Super Annoying Workflow Issue
Thanks gang. Sounds like QuicKeys is having some issues updating. I don't like the sound of that. I may try someone else...

There are certainly other apps but even with the upgrade problems, QK is one of those apps i will give up when you pry it from my cold dead mouse.

From what I glean from contacting them, and reading posts on their community page, it just won't happen. Apple have made it so hard. Though maybe they can come out and say that by now??? My favourite app ... what a shame.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:There are certainly other apps but even with the upgrade problems, QK is one of those apps i will give up when you pry it from my cold dead mouse.

However... it still works! Maybe not in Yosemite, but in Mavericks. Whew!

Re: Super Annoying Workflow Issue
It's been weird on Lion 10.7.5. Maybe I should've persevered more. I'll try QuicKeys on my laptop (Mavericks, just updated) but am still on Lion, and DP7 on the music computer (yea DP7 ... didn't want a bunch of guitar pedal plugins I have real ones, and I'm on MAC not PC so apart from 64 bit wasn't sure what the charge was for.
Maybe I'm being stingy ... trying to hold out till DP9, I still like DP a lot. Can you say that Quickeys works better on Mavericks than Lion, or is that more the case maybe using Mavericks/QuicKeys/DP8?
