Buzz? Electrical? someone help
I've got my system in my garage. When i plug my keyboard (yamaha motif into my system...i get a bad buzz. Almost like the same buzz i got when i got my new G5 and it sounds like electrical noise.
Anyway....anything i can do?
yes i've tried DI's and changing plugs.

Is the Motif plugged into the same AC source as the rest of the system? I mean the same receptacle, not a different one in the same room. Sounds like a ground loop.

you don't say if the buzz is constant or intermittent. is there anything on the same mains circuit (ie right back to the fuse box) that might be putting out noise? AC units, fridge or freezers are notorious. how about trying a power conditioner on the musical gear? my eight outlet rack mount unit cost £50, so i'd guess around $75?? ETA systems power conditioner.

sorry, maybe i should be more clear.
ALL my gear is plugged into the same outlet with a power conditioner in it.
the noise is the same noise you hear the G5 emitting.
Its sort of a working crackle noise. Its not a 60cycle hum...but more of an "interference" noise.
Anyone else experience this with their G5?

Did you try a DI with a ground lift?
Also do you have an amp on for your preview monitors?
Try turning off the amp and review what you played on headphones. Both worked for me in the past.

It's your G5. Get an ebtech AC adapter/isolator then plug the G5 into your AC adapter then the AC adapter in to your Pwr conditioner.Originally posted by wonder:
