upgraded to p 4.61, os x.4.3 ---> no fades, pops at sb st

Post by mattkalin »

hey everyone

i'd been sailing along great with 4.5... finished a big project... did the upgrades.

now i have dp problems:

* fades no longer work

* pops come at the beginning of the soundbites

i've had to automate volume curves to avoid these issues - what's going on?

my gear: dual g4 1.2, 1g ram, rme fireface, motu 24i/o - pci424, powercore pci, powercore pci mkii (just added), uad-1

any ideas?

thanks....

happy new year.

Is the pops appearing on all channels or just channels with Powercore plugs? I have similar problems, but only with Powercore plugs inserted. There is a weird workaround, insert the MOTU EQ or DC NOTCH in the slot before the Powercore plug and the problem disappears. Hope this can help you.

hi

thanks for your ideas.

the work-around is not working for me.

i'm still having problems... fades are not working.

you may be onto something in reference to powercore issues... i'll wait for their new 2.0 update to see if anything changes.
