DP Crashing and/or Won't Open

I've been having horrible problems with DP. For the past two weeks I've done every kind of trouble shooting you can image. I have a ticket in with MOTU and they've not provided a solution. Right now it is crashing on the processing thread below. Can anyone assist how I can fix this problem? I would be much appreciative. Thanks.

Thread 10 Crashed:: PerfTimer
0 libsystem_kernel.dylib 0x180fc1388 __pthread_kill + 8
1 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x180ffa88c pthread_kill + 296
2 libsystem_c.dylib 0x180f03cf0 __abort + 132
3 libsystem_c.dylib 0x180ef4aec __stack_chk_fail + 96
4 MidiSystem 0x10595de74 MIDISystem::Impl::MAS_MIDIDestImplImpl::MasSender::AddPacket(MIDISystem::DataPacket const&) + 280

It would probably be good to list them. So we can see if our imaginations might be greater than expected.

Have you tried disabling all plugins?

Reinstalling DP?

Hope you can soon get it sorted!

The last time we saw a PerfTimer crash reported here, it was caused by a headphone monitor plug-in called Redline in 2017, time before that was 2006, then 2005.

Somehow, the PerfEngine.dylib is not playing well with something else in your system. I don't know of anything else that uses this .dylib.

Both DP and PerformerLite contain current versions of this .dylib. The first thing I would try is using something that can search the root to see if any other instances of PerfEngine.dylib appear on your system. FindAnyFile will do this — hold your Option key and Find will change to Find All.

If older versions are found, you may have to disable SIP in the Recovery partition before you can delete them.
