I'm testing a new Mac studio M3 Ultra, OS Seqoiua 15.4.1, DP 11.34, and it's been going fine up until the point I took it OUT of Live Performance Mode. I've been working in Live Performance mode all week trying to truly stress out and TEST the comp), but today, when I turned off Live Performance, little problems started to arise and I wanted to see if any group members have had similar issues. When switching to normal, Pre rendering "non Live perfomance mode", I noticed some notes starting to get stuck in VIs. Before, In Live Performance mode I havent had the slightest stuck notes all week.
And in another issue, one of the keyboard VIs sounds a touch distorted unless I activate the record button on the VI track, at which point its sound cleans up. I think putting it into record mode nring it to LIVE mode for all intents and purposes, so again, it seems like pre rendering is the culprit. Strange litte behaviors indeed. Also, I have been running VIs channels without MIDI tracks.
My first thought is that Pre render is more complicated for DP and its communication with VIs leading to more issues, especially in older VIs, such as the Air music plug ins. Im not sure about this yet, but any feedback and experience with DP between Live Mode and Pre render, and issues that can occur switching back and forth would be appreciated.
DP Prerendering ""normal mode" potentially having issues that Live Mode does not have?

Re: DP Prerendering ""normal mode" potentially having issues that Live Mode does not have?
I've had occasional stuck notes in Normal (pre-rendered) Mode, but haven't compared performance in Live Mode for an extended period. Stuck notes easily and best resolved by Disabling/Re-Enabling the impacted VI. Stuck notes typically occur while editing, stopping and starting transport a lot over a segment of a piece.
Over the years, I have occasionally (rarely) encountered situations where DP doesn't seem to overwrite an old pre-render data point which I could remedy by switching into Live Mode, playing back, then switching back to Normal Mode.
I have not experienced (or at least noticed) the distortion issue mentioned.
