Automating volume with controller, and with mixer faders create separate CC7 info in MIDI tracks - RESOLVED

Automating volume with my controller, and with mixer faders create separate CC7 information in MIDI tracks - and mixer faders are not moving when I move my volume/CC7 fader on my controller as they should.

This has happened before and there's a preference somewhere that fixes it, but I can't remember what it is.

Thanks!

Thanks. No brain is dead. Controller was transmitting on the wrong MIDI channel!

:smash:

IIRC, I ran into that the other day... when using the newer MIDI/VI Combined tracks, channelization can be an issue, unlike with the Old Separate MIDI track approach, where channelization is determined by the MIDI track output setting.

Got me when I was recording some drum parts using my Korg PadKontrol, which was transmitting, of course, on MIDI 10.

So, setting VIs to receive from any MIDI channel (Omni) when using the newer approach is probably a good idea. Or make sure all controllers are outputting MIDI 1.
