Trimmer in 828mk2 & 3

Can someone tell what is the function of the big white trimmer in 828mk2 and 3 (at least)
In Mk2 its CR35. As there is no service manual, any info would be appreciated.

That may have something to do with the voltage regulator nearby. The trimmer is labelled P1 POT 1K underneath. But, the center leg (on my 828 MKII) seems to trace back to that group of components by the SPDIF connectors, so if it's C17 than it might be adjusting the frequency or clocking related to that. It is kinda tough without Schems to figure out what its doing. My two guesses though.
