I noticed an article showing how to install Windows 11 on a Mac, Intel or Silicon, using UTM. It is a long and complicated process, but it seems to claim it can be done for free, paying for neither UTM or Windows.
Anyone tried this?

I can’t imagine ever wanting to do this. Although I ran Windows in my day gig for 20 years, no thanks.
It might be interesting to see if any AV apps would run under this scheme seeing that they can’t be run from an external boot drive on an AS Mac. I’m mildly curious, no more.

Same here. After years of having to use window i was wellrid of it. But I tried this. UTM seems pretty buggy. Several attempts and it kept dropping into a CLI. Wasn’t worth the time and effort. But you can get a windows 11 image out of it.
