OT RANT: Boz Digital: WTH?

I don't want to be a jerk here... but maybe if you don't have time to update products that you sold to users so they can run on Apple Silicon YEARS later... and you can't reasonably MAINTAIN your plug-ins... maybe this is the wrong business for you? I'm tired of visiting my user area for months or years checking to see if you've updated... oh... I dunno:
• Bark of Dog 2
• Das Boot
• El Clapo
• Gatey Watey
• Le Snappet
• The Wall
• Transgressor 2
• Width Knob
Nice to know these are all able to run 32-bit on Intel if needed though.
Seriously... i don't want to be a jerk, but something is seriously wrong here.
I noticed Boz finally shut off comments on the blog... The Great Plugin Rewrite of 2022... ummm... 2023... ummm... 2024:
https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/the-grea ... e-of-2022/
I actually bought the whole suite of El Clapo, Das Boot and Le Snappet (even though they crash DP unless I launch DP in Rosetta) betting you might update them before I'm collecting Social Security. Now I'm wondering.
End of Rant... but seriously...

Perhaps I'll get blocked, but I left a comment on a post on the Boz Digital Facebook page about the piano VIs (which I did buy) that seem to be Boz's main focus for a long time now:

Well... just an update. Seems clear to me now why none of those plugins were getting updated.
https://www.bozmasterkeys.com/
I remember the release of the New York L bundle and those were obviously the first attempt. Each piano was a separate plugin, but Boz has been busy and now he has a main plugin called Master Keys and then the different pianos can all be recalled inside the Master Keys plugin... like how True Pianos does it only this is sample based and not modeling.
I went by the normal Boz Digital site to check my downloads and it was rearranged a little differently and when I looked at my list of downloads my New York L 1926 and New York L 1991 had a link next to it that said "Master Keys Installer" and clicking that took me to the new page. I was then able to install Master Keys and my old, previously separate pianos were available as modules now within the Master Keys plugin. I also had to redownload the sample library, which I think is different than the previous separate plug-ins. I think I'm going to now delete those and their libraries.
Boz is also selling two upright pianos for $19 each for the "Pro" versions and you can get the bundle for $29. I actually bought them because I hate to say
they sound really good. I'm still annoyed that this seems to have been the exclusive focus of Boz to the point of pretty much ignoring updating other products for Apple Silicon. In fact comments on the blog were turned off because he was taking so much heat there.
Anyway... now that his new piano product (which again, I admit is good) is off to a good start... maybe... JUST MAYBE... he can get around to the long neglected products now?

Huh? What the ?!?!?
I was a pre-order customer for the clap/stomp/snap bundle years ago. I just logged in and saw that I can add El Clappo 2 to my cart for free but don’t see updates for the others yet.. Then I got a
Gateway Time Out error…
I’ll be following up.
Ahhh, just got an email:
The ALL-NEW El Clapo 2 fuses El Clapo, Das Boot, and Le Snappet into one unstoppable plugin — completely rebuilt for lightning-fast workflow, upgraded sonics, and next-level control over the most lifelike claps, stomps, and snaps in the game.
What’s new in version 2:
3 becomes 1: claps, stomps, and snaps in a single, seamless interface
Smarter, faster workflow: re-engineered step sequencer, lush new reverb added, and crisper samples
Now Apple Silicon Native: smoother performance, lower CPU hit, zero compromises
From a tight solo clap to an arena-crushing stomp, El Clapo 2 gives you total command. Set your crowd size, dial in the perfect mic blend, and shape it all with pro-grade EQ, reverb, and compression.
Apparently, it’s a free update.

FYI... for anyone who might encounter this... if you owned El Clapo 1 you can get El Clapo 2 for free. It won't automatically be added to your downloads, but if you log in on their site and then add the new El Clapo 2 to your cart, the price will be $0.00. You then check out and it is added to your Downloads.

Mike,
I still haven't received an email from them! I only saw it because of KVR email. The email I received didn't make it clear that it was all 3 rilling into one. That's a nice surprise! I just downloaded it.

Wow! That's weird. Mine was $0.00. I wonder if the discount is greater the more recently you purchased it? Strange.

Not that $10 is a lot but, out of necessity, I've pretty well replaced the (unusable) Boz over the three years since I got my Mac Studio, so it gets to be a principle thing.

I noticed that in El Clapo 2... it looks like they've included the snaps and the stomps as well.
Also... I cannot figure out how to get a completely dry handclap. Even if I turn the Room mic down to 0% there is still reverb on the hand claps?!! Wait... I figured it out. There's a reverb built in. There are buttons with icons on them in the middle near the top, and the last one is Reverb. Have to click that and then adjust it or turn it off.

I’m guessing that’s not it. I bought the bundle pre-release. I felt pretty good a few months later when it came out at a higher price on release.
Originally, the three components (El Clapo, Das Boot, and Le Snappet) were available separately or you could buy them as a bundle. Any chance the original purchase didn’t include all three?

Nope. I had, and used, all three.

Dang, that’s weird, then.
While I was in there, I checked out Master Keys, Impressive, especially the Vienna 170 and the New York Ls..
I’m sending them an email suggesting that they sample one or both of the finest century old Bösendorfer 200s ever built, both in the SF Bay Area, Garrick Ohlsson’s and mine, both recently restored by the same tech.
Another piano VI I’d like to see is the Steinway A still sitting in the old RCA Studio B in Nashville that Floyd Cramer played on thousands of records over the years. When I first sat down at it, my hands immediately played his intro to Patsy Cline’s
“Crazy”. Damn!
