Moving large sections in T/O window.
I can't believe I can't figure this out and I know it's something super simple but...
How do I grab a bunch of tracks and move them backward or forward in the timeline without scrolling forever?
For instance, I'm in a sequence that is literally 3010 bars long.
If I want to move bar 100 through bar 3010 to bar 4000, how do I select them all without having to highlight and scroll all the tracks from bar 100 to bar 3010?
Is there a shortcut?
Hope I'm making sense.

You could use markers for selecting, and then use good ol' cut and paste for the rest.
Page 789 of the manual has this:
SELECTING WITH MARKERS
When you click a marker in a non-conductor track editor, it creates a time-range selection in that track that extends to the next marker or end- of-sequence, just like in the overview.

When you make a selection, you can see the selection bounds shown in a little section on the top of the T/O window. select the first bar, then type in the ending bar. Once you have that range set, you can select the tracks freely. From there, do a copy (or cut), Then use the counter to go to the first bar of the destination. Then select the measure that is in the upper left (first track, first bar) of the destination area-- paste.
M1 MBP; OS 15.3, FF800, DP 11.33, PC3K7, K2661, iPad6, Godin XTSA (w/ SY-1000), 2 Ibanez 5-string basses (1 fretted, 1 fretless), FX galore

Re: Moving large sections in T/O window.
And after successfully pasting the selected areas of the selected tracks to the new time location, you can reselect the original area of the tracks and choose "delete" to erase them. Now they are gone from the old location on the time line and exist in the newly desired location. If you set markers for the start and end point before doing the initial copy operation, it will make it easier to re-select the same region to erase after pasting. Also, when you paste, you only need to select the starting point in the tracks overview window. It will paste the whole length of what you copied, no matter what the end selection point says. Hopefully this is NOT as clear as mud....

Hi Kwiz!
I like using the Selection Information Sidebar Window... make your selection across desired tracks in the TO starting or ending about where you want your selection to start or end, then adjust the start and endpoints in the Selection Information window. Easy to put big numbers in there if required.
You can click on the arrows to the right of Start and End to select current cursor position; double click on Start Arrow to set Selection Start to 1/1/000, Dbl click on End arrow to set End to the end of your sequence.
