iZotope Surround Reverbs - why so many?!

Anyone use iZotope's Exponential surround reverbs? They're currently running a sale on all eight (!) of them as well as at least two separate surround reverb bundles. There's no clear documentation on what the difference is on iZotope's site. The "View More" links for all of them go to the same general info page, with no comparison-view, or anything that would inform a purchasing decision. iZotope clearly wants us to just buy a bundle, but I don't have the budget for that....nor the need for so many flavors of surround reverb!

They bought Exponential Audio awhile back. Perhaps they don't know the differences among the products either.
I received three as part of a bundle upgrade I bought last year. I've played around with them a bit but not much more. Sweetwater has screen shots of all 4:

Yes, the Sweetwater site has more concise info about these than the iZotope site for sure, but still no real guidance as to which is what, and why what is for whom.

Exponential at one time had good descriptions.
Here's a thread with the designer discussing differences, I can't say if that translates clearly to the iZotope rebranding.

Thanks! That's a very useful thread on the differences between these, and a pretty great, geeky forum overall! I don't think the iZotope versions have changed at all since that thread posted.
In a reductive nutshell, in case it's useful to anyone else: There's two basic approaches. The reverbs based on PhoenixVerb (Phoenix, NIMBUS, Stratus) are more transparent (real), The ones based on R2 (R2, R4, Symphony) are more colored (creative). The iZotope site does sort of include this info, but not as clearly as the designer frames it in the thread.
Thanks again!

For a few reasons the Stratus version seemed right for me. so I grabbed it. It sounds wonderful, but unfortunately, though it passed inspection, the AU version crashes DP. The VSTs seem fine, but I'm more organized around AU.
Anyone successfully using the AU version of Stratus or any of the Exponential surround plugins?

I've had R4 and Nimbus for 6 months or so without problems.

Not just a Stratus AU issue apparently. Reopening any project with Stratus VST
or AU crashes on Open. Instances on Auxs don't crash DP, but any project that has an instance of Stratus on an Instrument track or an Audio track will crash on Open.
This points to a possible Pre-render issue, but projects with an instrument that have outputs (with a Stratus inserted) that are bussed to an Aux also crash on Open. Also, toggling Enable/Disable on an Aux with Stratus inserted causes an immediate crash....which essentially makes Stratus a non-starter.
I'll start a MOTU TechLink and contact iZotope. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions or experiences that might help. Thx
[since this post is now OT I'm x-posting to the Troubleshooting Forum. Please respond there I guess (
