Bounce to Disk (Super Wide) Finder Window Bug ?

When choosing Bounce To Disk command, the OS finder window goes super wide (off screen) when choosing a custom bounce folder.

Sometimes DP freezes for a minute when choosing a custom folder to bounce my mix to.

For now, I hit enter using the DP Default Bounce Folder Location.

I re-installed DP yet this problem persists.

Any Fixes? Suggestions?

Mojave 10.14.4
DP 9.52

This sounds like a Finder issue. Once the huge window opens can you resize it? If you then follow through with the bounce do you get the same problem with the next bounce?

Hi Dave. Thanks for your reply.

No, the finder window cannot be resized and gets wider and wider upon each bounce to the point where it takes a while to scroll to reach end of window. Sometimes the end cannot be found. (I just hit enter to bounce to disk)

A Motu techlink suggested this is a bug related to running earlier versions of DP with Mojave OS.

I just tested a demo version of DP 10 - Bounce to disk in Mojave and it works fine. No finder issues.

I’ve been having this issue too. It’s not really a finder window, it’s the dialog box that comes up to specify the location of the bounce. I guess I need to update to DP10.

I've been having a similar issue. When changing the format - e.g., the bit depth or the sample rate, the window shrinks, obscuring the OK button. I can press Enter on my keyboard and the bounce proceeds, but it's very annoying. I've written to MOTU about this and several other issues, but I haven't gotten any satisfactory answers.

i recently upgraded to 10 from dp8, im also experiencing a number of window issues. motu tech support told me theyre bugs that are being worked on. dp10 for me has been pretty unstable unfortunately! especially with the window weirdness. im constantly readjusting window sizes all day after they resize themselves on their own.

I have same issue on DO 9. Just recently started with recent update in past month. Each time I choose folder the screen gets wider and wider and remains enormously wide. No ability to shrink width. I can adjust the height though.

I'm experiencing this issue with the Import Audio window.

On Mojave and DP 9.52.

Just tacking on that I have this issue. DP 9.5.2 under Mojave. Problem shows up in "Import Soundbite" as well. A tech from MOTU told me that it may be solved in v. 10, but I'm not quite ready to go there based on what I've been reading.

I’ve only read about it—never seen the issue. Safe to say that I run BTD at the end of every session I do for a client.

You can—and should—download the 10.01 demo.

I have the same issue in 10.01. Confirmed by email as a bug by MOTU tech support months ago.

Finally someone besides myself has this same issue! You're the first, Tommy!

Let's hope this is one of the issues MOTU fixes!

I experienced it but it wasn't an issue.Nor did it happen on BTD—I saw it when creating a new project in 10.01.

I dragged the window to the right. When I saw the left edge, I grabbed it and dragged to the right making the screen smaller. I then centered the screen and it's been fine since..

Wasn't till I was done that I realized it was this issue. I am constantly resizing screens to access folders behind them during the course of my job — this was no different. I hadn't noticed till afterward that it had been getting bigger when I dragged tracks onto it. After I fixed it, stayed put even when I performed a BTD.

So, any word on whether this bug is remedied by upgrading to DP 10 if still running Mojave? I'm running DP 9.52 on Mojave (10.14.6) on a late-2013 Mac Pro and having this same issue. Attempting to grab the lower left hand corner and drag to the right has only made the issue significantly worse. Rebooting/relaunching has not helped, either.
