Kurzweil conversions

Post by ritzybiz »

After converting a krz disc, the samples won't load into Mach V, informing me that the samples are too short. They will play in QT without any problem, and are not short files.
Any ideas?

One of the common problems importing Kurzweil discs. Many of the Kurzweil patches have a blank sample called "InRom". After this blank sample goes through UVIXtract, UVI saves it as a 4KB file called (surprise) "InRom.wav". This sample is too small for MachFive to deal with.

So far, the only solution I've found is {{cringe}} to manually delete this keymap from the imported MachFive preset. After this, you resave the Preset, and it will load correctly from then on. If you have a lot of Kurzweil presets, this will take some time!

If anyone knows a solution to this BEFORE importing with UVIXtract, please let all of us know.

Hope this helps!
