Cross-Platform Project Sharing?
I've got two Windows purist buddies who are buying DP for Windows. Too excited to wait for the answer to this question:
Can I just copy a project's files to a HD and the Windows DP will open it up as is (sans any 3rd party plugs I've used)?
Or are there hurdles to jump through to share projects across platforms?
Thanks in Advance!

Re: Cross-Platform Project Sharing?
AFAIK the DP documents are readable by either platform regardless of the platform. One might have to be careful about plugs and VIs. I don't know, but I suspect that the same plugs in Windows might not be exactly the same as on a Mac. The audio format should be fine but I'd certainly stick to bwav as the format.

If I'm the first to try this (within the week, perhaps?) I'll post my findings.

Re: Cross-Platform Project Sharing?
Do report back. I don't know anyone working music or sound on a Windows machine so won't have an opportunity to try this, but I am considering a Windows laptop now that both Finale and DP are PC friendly. In the end I'll probably cave and get another Macbook Pro but the lure of a cheap and somewhat "disposable" laptop also has a bit if an attraction and cross platform compatibility would then become very important.
What would be great is 100% compatibility with Pro Tools... but that would just be delusional.
