Ethno crashes instantly (XP)

After working over two years without any problem, ethno instrument now crashes instantly at start, both standalone and VST Plugin.
Directly after starting i get either windows blue screen or windows error message.
I deinstalled and reinstalled several times, without any success...
Whatever is causing the problem, all other software on the computer still works perfect as ever.
It´s really very, very annoying as i cant go on work on most of my projects...
Any ideas or hints?
