Hi everybody.
I just got my copy of DP 5.1 (sidegrading from Logic Pro 7).
After installing the software and starting it up, I enter my Name and the Key Code. After pressing OK the software scans the inserted CD for a while and then returns to the window where I have to enter the registration info.
On my G5 Powermac however, the same procedure installs and unlocks the software properly.
The MacBook Pro I own is the "large one" of the first series, with the 2GHz Dual Core Procesor, 256 MB Graphics Card and 1GB memory.
Any suggestions? Has anybody experienced that problem?
Regards,
Normen

This advice came from a tech rep at Vienna Symphonic Library:
Repairing permissions can often solve such problems. If not, shut down the computer completely. This dumps old UNIX references that may be stubborn to release the old file associations. Reboot the computer and continue with authorization.
At one time it seemed that this step was more of an OS9 routine, but evidently there are instances where it is necessary in OSX.
