I just bought a 896HD for my new G5. Previously i was using a Digi001 on my G4 and was perfectly happy - I went MOTU coz i thought it might offer more than a Digi002 but so far am finding it quite anoying.
Is there a better manuel than the one that comes with the unit - i can't seem to find a update online.
For example why does the volume level show up on the input 7&8 meters??
Is cuemix only for inputs? it seems to have no effect on Logic's output controls.
The volume control is doing my head in!! Ive nearly killed myspeakers and my ears.
Anty tips or help appreciated

If the Main out toggle switch is set to phones only - the volume control only affects the headphones and the Main Outs are full open- at Max volume.
Set the toggle switch to Main + Headphones to set the volume of the Main Outputs.
