Yipes! Acid sweat! I have a similar problem and have to wipe down the bridge of my guitars or it will quickly corrode. Kind of like the movie Alien! :)
amplifying the sound of metal corroding. alien acid guitar riffs the future of rock! or maybe not :)

I totally agree in this "Road Worn" guitars thing. As they say "It don't mean a thing if you don't got that swing".

Now having said that, I'd be really interested in hearing or reading what type of equipment people use to monitor their work on. Are some members using their headphones, their sound systems at home ? Do they listen to them at recording studios and or with so much compression that it sounds great on an FM station ?

Are alot of the members listening to their mixs in 5.1 or stereo ? Just what are the qualifications to get a great mix ?

Before getting into the SW business I had a recording studio and I paid my dues for 15 years and getting a certain sound that some players would record only at my studio because of the sound it produced.

I'd like to read about what type of stuff people use to get their sound?

Just use the product and it'll gey worn

Gary

Worn is good only if you have worn it.

As to the last post it would be great to know what are some of the best sounding LP's and/or CD's out there ? Which would you think are the sounds you would want to emulate ?

Maybe-- maybe not.

It doesn't matter how it's worn or who wore it. For that matter, it's not even about how it's been worn *out*.

It's how it's being worn at the moment.

That's a worning and I will attempt to be fashionably conscious of it.

I have a Yamaha acoustic guitar.. "Purple sea mist" is it's the precise colour description.... I only bought it after days/weeks trawling the streets of london trying out all kinds of guitars in the 'mid' price range.. It was easily the best sounding guitar I found, with all the features I was looking for such as built-in pick up and microphone, amazing playability, nice finish and solid construction..

Luckily, in most lights it just looks dark but in some lights, it's most definitely PURPLE!

Well, I laughed my ass off the first time I saw/played them.........but they are all gone mostly at our two GC's :o

I frankly hated the ones I played. They looked like someone tried to "road wear" them too early and fast. I've seen a couple of custom shop relics that were plausible (except for the price) but anyways.....I vote they are kinda lame.
