It looks awful nice... glad you can report positively on the touch test. I'm waiting on delivery from Sweetwater now. Any hint of a shipping date?
... AlphaTrack will be available in January, with an MSRP of just US$249.

Yeah, but Sweetwater is now saying February :(

I'm not going to post any details about NAMM in this forum unless they are specifically related to working with DP. I do get a kick sometimes though out of posts in this forum talking about upcoming products that have been known about sometimes for months in players' forums :-). It reminds me of what a different context this forum is (and the inverse is also true, regarding discussions of notation and recording in the players' forums).

Anyway, the main product that I saw that would be of potential interest to DP users (aside from ones that already have devoted posts), is the new control surface from Alesis (available in two versions/sizes). I am very impressed by the ergonomics, the intuitive layout, quality components and robust build quality. I think these are my favourite control surfaces yet.

Not so sure about Alesis' bold claim that the audio converters and the mic preamps in both these and the also-new standalone converter boxes are notm only better than the MOTU 828 mk II, but also the RME Fireface as well :-). It seems a stretch to claim superiority even to equipment that isn't in direct competition at the mid-price range. Arrogance? Insecurity? Or the truth? Maybe upcoming product reviews will be enlightening.
