What's you internet connection speed?
Still they must be on a slow server as I've downloaded larger libraries/programs (BFD3 for instance) that have taken a max of 3-4 hours for a 60+ gig d/l.
Well, after waiting through a 24 hour download, I've got to say I don't think its worth the price.
Very basic synth, with a bunch of retro sounds that are OK, but really pretty uninteresting. I guess if you don't have any other VI's it might be useful, but even so, there are better (free) alternatives available.
I can see why they are giving it away.
Cheers,
BK
…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Dear customer,
Thank you for taking part in our free Digital Synsations deal!
Because of the high volume of traffic this offer generated our servers were sluggish and we’ve noticed that some of you may have had trouble completing your download. We wanted to apologize for that and let you know that our servers are back to normal, so if you were unable to download Digital Synsations you can try again!
You can download your UVI products at any time through the 'My Products' page.
If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact our Technical Support.
Happy music making!
Team UVI
Hopefully, this will lessen the pain.

Personally I disagree. I like it a lot. But the sounds are retro, but isn't that how its advertised? I've been hankering for those old D-50 and Roland LA synthesis sounds. This fits the bill quite nicely.
All the best,
Henry Robinett

I got the email too, finally. I went to go download it. After about 2 or 3 minutes, I had downloaded about 220 kb, of 9 GB. Of course I stopped the download.
My internet speed is between 50 and 100 Mbps, both ways, so it's not me.
I think UVI knows I don't have 3 weeks to download the thing, maybe that's how they limit the distribution. I already had an account setup on their website, so they have nothing to gain from me.

It's becoming a yawner for me. I got enough freakin' VIs and the Korg M1 is certainly far superior to the mash up that UVI. Besides, from Korg you can get a GREAT Wavestation VI in the Legacy package. Sure, it'll cost you $99, but frankly, my time is worth a hell of a lot more than that and I can't waste it waiting for some freebie 9GB monster that is only partially satisfactory to those who actually like it.
I'm done with this one. Stuck a fork in it. FORK IT! (damn spell checker!)

Totally. I've had the legacy collection for several years now.. I love it!
And recently, I got the M1 on my iPad! The greatest part is, sounds that I programmed myself 25 years ago on the T3, are on my computer, and now on the iPad as well. They sound exactly the same as the hardware did (I still have a working T3).
Nothing is ever really free, you're gonna have to spend something.. and in this case, it's time. Stick my fork in there with yours.

I really like Digital Synsations. I have had it for a while and never really explored it. But recently I decided to revisit it, and was stepping through the presets, when one of them caught my ear. It instantly inspired a riff which (along with a spoken phrase sample) became the basis for my latest track, Visions of the Future. I call that time/money well spent.

Damn that is good Babz. Honestly, I don't listen to much music, but I listened to this until the end.. very well composed and produced!

Put in the shopping cart and enter the code: FREEDS for 100% discount
Thanks for the tip Dave
Tried it, but FREEDS seems to have expired. This kind of thing really p****s me off!!
I got no notification of this from UVI, in spite of being a "valued member of the UVI family", at least that's how their email in February referred to me.
Clearly my link to this 'illustrious family' is a little tenuous, likened more to that of an illegitimate back street sprog rather than favoured son of the Earl of Grantham
Hey ho .... i've been called worse!!
Thanks for the tip off all the same
