Re: 1.3 MIDI driver question
with the old MIDI driver things were fine... now with 1.3 ill open DP and it will say the MIDI server has crashed dp can not load and then quit ill then relaunch DP and it will run, It's like hit or miss.. funny thing i also have Logic, so i tested logic and it runs every time.. strange...

Re: 1.3 MIDI driver question
seems to be my 828mkll... i tried the new driver ver. 1.3 with out the 828 mkll. connected and it worked fine. then i connected my 828 mkll and launched dp and get the MIDI server has crashed dp cannot run... i reverted back to MIDI driver ver. 1.24 and all is well in dp land. anybody else with an 828 mkll and a MIDI express XT running MIDI driver 1.3 without problems please drop a reply... thanks in advance.

Re: 1.3 MIDI driver question
Is there any good reason to install this for people who aren't having problems? The download page says "Improved MIDI timing and efficiency". Can anyone hear a difference? I'm wondering if this is just a bug fix for people that are having MIDI related issues.

Re: 1.3 MIDI driver question
Wanted to add my experience to the list...
I've been having the stuck MIDI note issues as many others have.
I just installed the 1.3 driver (yes, I forgot to turn off the interfaces before installing).
Upon reboot, my MTPAV (x2) was grayed out in Audio MIDI setup. A rescan did NOT bring it back. Two reboots later and still no joy. Just a single 16 port grayed out MTP.
Solution:
I finally decided to unplug the USB cable while Audio MIDI setup was running. I then plugged it back in and did a rescan. A second MTP showed up. I manually repatched the 39 devices on 12 ports (ugh).
I'm still getting stuck notes. It might be slightly better than before, but it's still happening far too often.

Re: 1.3 MIDI driver question
I find 1.3 better, as a matter of fcat, not one stuck note yet. Yes I did have to re-route all my midid devices once. Not a big hassle, for those of you who don;t know, after you create a new MTP and re route, you'll be in a state where you have the out and ins from all your devices going to 2 interfaces, one greyed out (the old one) and one not. No need to worry about the new one being named MTP2. Just erease the grayed out one once you've re created the new interface, all will be fine and the new one will lose it's #2 designation.

The thing that I couldn't figure out for a while was how to get my MTP/AV renamed. (I didn't want the "#2" at the end).
In a dazzling display of interface inconsistency, you can't rename the MIDI interface directly from the Audio MIDI Setup application like you can with your devices.
I opened Audi MIDI Setup, double-clicked my micro lite icon, and a window opened called "micro lite Properties." I went to the first field called "Device Name" and simply deleted the "#2" at the end. This doesn't work for you? What happens if you double click your MTP/AV icon?
