Sequoia Issue: If screen saver activates I must log in
This is annoying and I think this has only started with Sequoia. If my screen saver starts up, my Mac automatically logs me out and when I move the mouse and I have to re-enter my password to resume working. I cannot find any way so far to defeat this. Pain in the butt.
For example, if I move the mouse up to a hot corner to start the screen saver, and then I wake the computer a few seconds later... I'm forced to log in again. Really, really annoying!

I'm guessing it may be time to "Sequoia", maybe? James has many more plugs than I. Perhaps I should wait for the new year.

I'd hate to be responsible for any mishaps. Keep in mind that I'm only working on my own music and haven't really been doing too much work lately, so haven't stress tested much, but most of my current projects do seem to be working okay.

I still haven’t documented my extremely painful Sequoia journey but with the current build, I think it’s finally safe to update.
OTOH, I learned quite a bit as did Apple and am being compensated for my trouble. There are still a few minor issues and I’m still working with Apple on them.
Now that some major projects are behind me, I plan to update a couple of threads that I left hanging soon, perhaps as early as tomorrow.

Aside from those with new macs, who need it, is there any gain to go with the pain?

If interested in Apple AI or booting from external drives, then yes. Otherwise, no. If not too caught up in family nonsense tomorrow, I’ll have time to explain more.bayswater wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 11:24 am Aside from those with new macs, who need it, is there any gain to go with the pain?
